The objectives were to facilitate the Gender Mainstreaming framework in IFAD supported Projects through collating & sharing the successes and challenges on gender issues in different thematic field; identify gaps to be addressed through gender tools; establishing network among different IFAD supported projects and other partners; leading knowledge sharing / discussion on gender issues in the network; formulation of standardized gender monitoring format for IFAD projects in India; and formulating a standardized framework for gender mainstreaming in the IFAD financed programmes in India among others
